Its a bit strange that it went purple from just hard braking

It looks like he unsettled the rear by braking and turning too much at the same time. Same principle as trail-braking, but a bit too heavy-handed.

Either that or he didn't complete his braking before he had to turn in, so was carrying too much speed and had to keep braking over the apex, which again unsettled the rear and cocked up his line for the whole little section.

Other than that, he seems like a pretty kickass driver.

the car was still loaded up from the long left hander it looked like, so when he braked it rotated a bit too much. He had it for a second, then because of the ... abbreviate braking zone he was carrying too much speed into the right hand part of the chicane. A flick and a little slide to bleed that off and he's out, having lost minimal amounts of time. Pretty slick! Especially given the conditions.

Yeah it's very impressive. Pretty certain I'd have stacked it into a barrier of some sort.

There's a great Targa in-car with a Rover P6 with these guys as well.
